Fall is here and that means it’s time for one of Green Oak Village Place’s favorite traditions: Boo Fest.
On Friday, October 23, Green Oak Village Place will celebrate its 17th Annual Boo Fest from 5:30–7:30 p.m. with an evening of trick-or-treating, games, entertainment and plenty of Halloween fun for families throughout the Brighton community.
The celebration is especially meaningful this year as Green Oak Village Place marks its 20th anniversary in the community.
Twenty Years of Community … and Counting
For two decades, Green Oak Village Place has been more than a place to shop and dine. It has become a gathering place for families, friends, neighbors and local businesses throughout the Brighton area.
And this year’s Boo Fest is bringing even more of that community together.
In partnership with the local Chamber of Commerce, approximately 100 additional local businesses will join Green Oak Village Place tenants for this year’s festivities, creating an expanded celebration throughout the shopping center.
“For 20 years, this mall has been more than just a place to shop. It’s been a gathering point for the Brighton community. This year, the Boo Fest event is marking our milestone anniversary and is our way of saying thank you,” says Sean Valentino, Director of Retail Operations at REDICO. “With so many great new retailers joining our lineup this year, we’re incredibly optimistic about what the next 20 years will bring. We can’t wait to celebrate with the neighbors and families who’ve supported us since day one.”
A Halloween Tradition for the Whole Family
Boo Fest offers families a free evening of safe, festive fun throughout Green Oak Village Place.
Costumed guests of all ages can visit participating stores for trick-or-treating, candy and giveaways. Families can also take part in seasonal games, including a witches’ ring toss and pumpkin-themed challenges, with opportunities to win prizes along the way.
And because Halloween is just the beginning of the holiday season, many Green Oak Village Place retailers will also offer seasonal specials, making Boo Fest a fun opportunity to enjoy the festivities and get a jump-start on holiday shopping.
A Community Worth Celebrating
Today, Green Oak Village Place is home to a diverse mix of shopping, dining, lifestyle and entertainment options and employs more than 1,000 people. Its combination of retailers, local businesses and community-focused events continues to make it an important part of the Brighton area.
